Introduction

This executive workshop provides all directors with comprehensive information and equips them for the practical application of enterprise risk management with a special link to governance, leadership, performance management and sustainability strategy. It explores both the positive and negative aspects of risk and aims to provide those attending with improved knowledge and practical skills in the identification, assessment, and treatment of organisational risks that could be threaten to business sustainability and its overall impact on the Society.

The board has overall leadership, responsibility and accountability for organisational governance, risk and compliance culture. There is a growing expectation of directors to have appropriate levels of risk management knowledge and sustainability through global ESG Compliance standards that will enable them to interrogate emerging reputational impact of poor governance before it is too late. This session provides a practical view of what board members (both executive and non- executive) and board stakeholders need to know and do about protecting capital, sustaining brand value and maximising profit.

Leadership and decision-making processes shape, influence and develop organisations to gain competitive advantage, be profitable, promote sustainability and ultimately develop growth. In the wake of post COVID-19 VUCA world, organisations are more susceptible to financial, legal, political, environmental, social and economic crises due to external and internal forces within and outside companies. Tension between people at work is natural – in large, diverse teams it’s unlikely that everyone will always agree and share the same goals. But an important part of teamwork is working around one another’s differences, not against them.

This workshop will explore current sustainability strategies to maintain or support any organisation’s operating model continuously over a long time. It will provide tools and tips to prevent the depletion of natural or physical resources, so that the organisation is able to enhance its relationship with the society by adding value, good corporate reputation and brand equity for all stakeholders.

This course is aimed at individuals in leadership positions in organisations with responsibility to ensure that implications of internal conflicts to relationships and productivity are minimized, dealing will colleagues’ emotions and self, inspiring healthy relationship with customers and ensuring data protection and confidentiality in handling corporate information without negative impact on the local environment, community, society and economy. You will be guided by experienced and competent professionals who have sat on and advised boards on corporate governance issues and helped many organisations to enhance performance outcomes.
