Summit Overview
Energy is a critical factor in all the sectors of any economy. It plays the most vital role in the achievement of economic progress, including poverty eradication and security. The standard of living of a given country can also be directly related to the level of its per capita energy consumption. Future economic growth crucially depends on the long-term availability of energy from sources that are affordable, accessible, and environmentally friendly.
The aim of this summit is to bring together regulators, stakeholders and professionals in the energy/power sector and focus on a range of governance, operational, transitional and emerging threats and opportunities facing the sector. Our Energy Risk and Governance Summit (ERGS) is a platform to circulate a shared vision and discuss leadership and transformational issues of importance in the energy industry.
This edition of the summit aims to examine the current state of the Nigerian energy sector, discuss the relationship between carbon emissions and quality of living standards, explore the penetration of renewable energy in the country and address the risk governance issues facing the sector
